Fatality Glitch

To see a cool fatality glitch, take Sub-Zero, (it's easier to do if you're not really fighting an active opponent, so leave the second player "dormant") and beat your opponent one round. On the second round, kill them until they have only a tiny bit of energy left. Now, just keep throwing your Ice Blast (Freeze move) and eventually, it will say Finish Him/Her when they are frozen. Do your fatality and the statue will crumble, but your opponent is still standing, still dizzy!

Fight Against Goro

Fight the three endurance rounds with Rayden. On the third endurance match, make the match last three rounds. Now do your death move, and you will fight a T-1000 Goro.

Fight Against Reptile

4X4 Match

Acid Bath

This tricks works on the "Dead Pool" stage (the one with the green acid in the background.)

When the screen says "Finish Him!", hold Low Punch + Low Kick, press and hold Down, then press High Punch. If you did it right you'll send your opponent into the acid.

Different Dead Pool Fatality

This is a weird bug (I think it's a bug) that you do with Sub-Zero at the dead pool. Beat up your opponent until it says FINISH HIM/HER and then do the first part of the Deep Freeze (F, F, D, HK). This should turn your opponent into a big thing of Ice. Now, instead of doing the uppercut that would shatter them (F, D, F, F, HP) do the stage fatality (hold LP and LK then do a regular uppercut) Now, instead of the regular body going into the dead pool, the chunk of ice will.

Fight Jade

To fight Jade, work your way to the match before the mystery fight (the one titled "?"). During this battle, defeat your opponent using nothing but low kicks. If you manage this feat you'll fight Jade in the next battle.

Green Ball Trick

Note: These codes don't have to be done in two-player mode, but it is extremely hard to do them against the computer, so just fight against yourself.

Bug: This trick is the easiest, so I'll start with it first. Start a two player game. Select Johnny Cage as one player, Liu Kang as the other. At any time do Johnny Cage's rising shadow uppercut. When he has reached the highest point on the screen, catch him with Liu Kang bicycle kick. If you do this right, the game will freeze and sometimes Liu Kang scream will keep repeating at the frozen screen.

Cool new moves: Start a two player game, but this time pick Shang Tsung as both players. During the fight morph into Johnny Cage with player one. Now follow these directions carefully! Move as far into the corner with Johnny as possible, having his back touch the end of the screen. Leave no room! Now repeatedly do his high or low green ball toss. After several times it should disappear. After that do a shadow kick from that location. the process with the econd player Shang Tsung but on the other side of the screen. Once this is done you can let them both morph back. Now the cool part, shoot a fire ball with either Shang Tsung and it will stay frozen in air exactly where you made the green ball disappear. If your opponent hits the frozen projectile he gets hit and loses power like normal. It's unavoidable!

This trick also works with Sub-zero (when morphing) and Lio Kang's fireball.

Invisible hit: Do the same green ball disappearing trick mentioned before with Johnny Cage and do a shadow kick again, but do nothing else! When your opponent comes over to you he will be hit by an invisible obstacle in the place where you did the trick!

Fatality Effects: Pick Cage again and do the green ball trick and a shadow kick in the second round. After this is done move your opponent closer to you BUT DO NOT MOVE HIM TO THE PLACE WHERE YOU DID THE TRICK OR HE'LL GET HIT! Now do sweep your opponent until its time to FINISH HIM. Do Cage's three head knock-off and the first head should stay floating up and down the side of the screen in the place where you did the trick.

Please note that this trick works with all of the characters; not just Cage. Try it with the other's to see what happens.

Note: never have your opponent directly in front of the invisible hit area(the [place where you did the trick) or this could screw up the efects. The only exception is Baraka's body impalement. For that one you need to have your opponent in front of the affected area, but not touching it, so that when Baraka lifts him up he''ll go into the invisible hit area.

Super Damage and Defense

Sticks and stones may break your bones, but a tactical nuke is much better.

To defeat any opponent in two hits, press Down, Up, Right, Up, Left + Select at the Character Select screen. This code will also halve any damage you receive.

Infinite Continues

Execute the STEALTH SELECT code. When both players are on the same fighter in stealth select let the game choose the combatant and you have infinite continues.

Random Select

Scott's Stuff Menu

For the Scott's Stuff menu, press X, B, A, Y, Up, Left, Down, Right, Down. A long list of selections will appear, including Play as Shao Kahn in 2-player mode.

Smoke Cameo

At the copyright screen, hold Left + A. When the Williams screen appears, hold Right+B, and finally hold X + Y on the "There is no knowledge....." screen. Smoke should walk by when the MK3 title appears.

Sound Test

At the menu screen, press A, Y, B, X.

Stealth Select

When choosing your character, rapidly move the direction in all directions until your selection box vanishes. You can now choose a fighter without your opponent knowing who you chose.

Tournament Mode
