Bug!

Oh my god! There is a Bug! in my Saturn

Publisher: Sega
Developer: Sega
Genre: Adventure/ Platform

This is a decent title, but when you consider that Sega used to push it as the ultimate in 3D platform games, it seems kind of funny. Basically, this is a 2D side-scroller (in that you move on a 1D line and jump), with the exception that you can often move (along a track of course) into the screen. It doesn't feel very 3D at all, frankly.

Once you get over that, though, you'll find that Bug! is a fairly challenging platformer. We didn't like the pastel color tones, and we also found Bug! a very poor mascot (remember, Sega tried to replace Sonic with Bug! for a while), but the game, overall is moderately fun. Worth $15 in the used bin? Sure. Nearly as good as Sega tried to convince when it came out? Hardly.
