How to Defeat the Bosses of Mortal Kombat II

Kintaro

With Goro missing, Kintaro steps up to take his place as supreme ruler of Shao Kahn's armies. Stronger and more agile than his predecessor, he is enraged by Goro's defeat. Kintaro vows to take revenge on the Earth warriors responsible.

Defeating Kintaro

When fighyin this sub-boss, you must always avoid his fireball, by ducking, due to its powerful blast. One of the best ways to defeat this huge member of the Shokan is to wait for him to growl. This leaves him very open to any type of attack. (try to use an uppercut if possible) Another great tactic is to wait for him to jump. You can anticipate this easily by watching until he jumps straight up, then toward you. When he does, uppercut him or simply use a well timed roundhouse. You can also repeatedly sweep at Kintaro. Sweep him once, back away, then sweep again. Finally, if Kintaro leaps into the air to perform his Stomp, jump out of the way. If he misses you he will growl and leave himself open for any attack of your choice. Using all of these tactics will help you to defeat this difficult foe.

Shao Kahn

The supreme ruler of the Outworld, Shao Kahn governs the Astral Planes of Shokan and all surrounding kingdoms. Five hundred years ago he banished shapeshifter Shang Tsung into the Mother Realm (Earth) to pay for his crimes. Shang Tsung was to unbalance the furies and create a weakness in the Earth's dimensional gates. This weakness in the gates would allow Kahn and his minions to forever walk into the Earth and plague it's inhabitants to a dark and chaotic existence. Only then would Shang Tsung be cleared of his offence and the curse be lifted.

Defeating Shao Kahn

When you begin to fight Shao Kahn, jump out the way when the round starts. Kahn usually opens with a Shadow charge or throw his spear. You must always be on the lookout for any of Kahn's special moves. If you do, quickly Block and take the little amount of damage. If you Block his Shoulder Charge, counter with an uppecut. If you can, jump toward him, duck, then Block to lure Kahn to Shoulder Charge. Then retaliate with a simple uppercut. If you ever knock down Kahn, throw a projectile while he is getting up to add some extra damage. Finally, when Shao Kahn tauts you, come in with a jump kick, sweep, or uppercut. Using each tecnique wisely will almost always result in victory.
