When the Outworld portal opens over a large city in North America, panic and chaos rage out of control. Kurtis Stryker was the leader of the Riot Control Brigade when Shao Kahn began taking souls. He finds himself the lone survivor of a city once populated by millions.

Fighting as Stryker
When fighting as Stryker, you must always be on the attack. If your opponent runs or jumps toward you, retaliate with a well timed Rushing Throw.
Another good technique is to throw a Low Grenade. Your opponent will most likely jump, leaving you with the choice between a high kick, roundhouse, or a High Greneade. Then quickly counter with a jumping attack.
Fighting Against Stryker
There is not much you can do against Stryker. The best tactic is to trade projectiles with him. Try to stay out of sweeping range and anticipate his grenades. If you do, you may be able to run underneath a High Grenade and unleash a combo, or jump kick him over his Low Grenade. At all costs block Stryker's Rushing Throw and counter with a combo.
Stryker falls prey to jumping attacks if his projectiles are anticipated. Also, if Stryker's Rushing Throw is blocked, it leaves him open for some major damage.
Ignorant of why his soul was spared from the Outworld invasion, Stryker receives a vision from Raiden. He is instructed to travel west. He eventually meets the rest of Earth's warriors and learns the true meaning of his survival. He travels back to the city he swore to protect. Kahn is unfamiliar with this new kombatant and is caught off guard. Stryker defeats the warlord and saves the entire planet. The chaos that consumed the city in the hours before the invasion are gone.
